GovHack 2014

In July 2014 at locations across Australia open data enthusiasts and experts came together to create, mash and hack together data in new and innovative ways.

The Queensland Government sponsored a prize for best use of Queensland Government data. The winner was SocialTest developed by Mick Davies of 5150 Studios on the Gold coast.

Using SocialTest you can search through multiple government datasets comparing soft crimes, the degree of Centrelink assistance and rental prices to gain a greater understanding of the potential needs of South East Queensland suburbs.

Congratulations Mick!
