The Queensland Government is once again supporting GovHack 2016.

This annual event provides an opportunity for Governments and Industry to support our innovative communities through sponsorship and the release of new open Government data.

It draws people together to innovate with Open Government Data. The best teams have a mix of skill so we encourage everyone to come along including entrepreneurs, developers, designers, digital media creators, artists, story tellers, researchers and open data enthusiasts.

Teams are eligible for some great prizes, in addition to honour and fame:

• International Prizes categories
• Australian or New Zealand GovHack Major Prizes categories
• Australian Bounty Prize categories
• Local Prizes
• Hacker’s Vote Award
• Spirit of GovHack Prizes for outstanding participation and collaboration both locally and overall
