Advance Queensland! - discover and explore Advance Queensland data to showcase, inspire and grow Queensland innovation.

Description

  • There is an innovation movement growing in Queensland. Business, industry, young people, entrepreneurs (and more) are innovating to create a prosperous future for themselves, for Queenslanders, and for the global society.
  • The opportunities emerging from these innovations affect all industries and every person in Queensland.
  • Queenslanders don’t know enough about the people who are innovating or the innovations that are being created in our own back yard.
  • Demonstrate this burgeoning innovation movement.
  • Demonstrate the historical innovation journey in Queensland and how to be involved today.

What are we looking for?

Most innovative use of Advance Queensland data that is:

  • Engaging, inspiring and accessible to a broad audience.
  • Data rich.
  • Creative and visually appealing.
  • Details the Advance Queensland innovation story.

Datasets

To be eligible to win you must use the Advance Queensland dataset provided for this challenge hosted on data.qld.gov.au, but you are free to also use data from the official GovHack list or any other data sets as long as their licensing terms permit.

Advance Queensland dataset comprised of:

  • Grant recipients as at 12 July 2016
  • Program name
  • Recipient name
  • Description of project

As well as using the Advance Queensland dataset, participants are encouraged to use as many datasets they wish to produce the best possible product.
